Scripture is our authority. We are committed to the Bible as the source of doctrine and life, and our basic statement of faith flows from its pages — not the other way around.
What We Believe
At Granger Missionary Church, Scripture is our authority. The beliefs below shape everything we do — our worship, our teaching, and our life together in Christ.
Our Confession
The Granger Missionary Church Statement of Faith
We stand on the shared confession of the Missionary Church denomination: a basic statement of faith in which Scripture is our authority. Here's what we hold to, point by point.
God
There is but one eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, and everywhere-present Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — who is the creator and sustainer of all things.

Jesus Christ
Jesus is God incarnate, yet fully human. He lived a sinless life, died to make atonement for the sins of all mankind, was bodily resurrected, and is now our mediator at the right hand of the Father. He is assuredly coming in power and glory for His believing followers, and He is the only Savior of men.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates all who repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. He sanctifies, empowers, teaches, guides, and comforts believers.

The Bible
The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and is therefore authoritative in all matters it addresses. It is the final word on who we are, what we believe, and how we live.

Salvation
Salvation is the result of genuine repentance of sin and faith in the atoning work of Christ. It brings forgiveness to the penitent, makes us partakers of the divine nature, and gives peace with God. We call this the new birth.

The Church
We believe in the invisible and universal Church as an organism, composed of all believers in the Lord Jesus who have been vitally united by faith in Christ, its living Head and sovereign Lord. Our local congregation in Granger is a family within that global body.

The Ordinances
We believe the Christian ordinances are two: baptism and the Lord's Supper. They are outward rites appointed by Christ to be administered in each church — not as a means of salvation, but as a visible sign and seal of its reality.

Our Purpose
Holy People, Worldwide Mission
As Missionary Church people, we are committed to being holy people of God in the world and to building His church by worldwide evangelism, discipleship, and the multiplication of growing churches — all to the glory of God. Being a global-minded church is a distinctive of our denomination: more than 100 missionaries serve in over 20 countries, and more than 200 churches have been planted since 1990.
For us, the world also includes across the street and around the state. That's why you'll find us serving Granger through outreach, community events, and a congregation that plants — our daughter church, Pathway Community Church, is living proof.
